Size Guide: Find Your Perfect Dress Fit
Finding the right size is key to looking and feeling your best. Use the Orabella size guide below to determine your ideal fit across our occasion dresses, suits and formal sets.
How to Measure Yourself
For the most accurate results, take your measurements while wearing lightweight clothing or undergarments. Use a soft measuring tape and keep it snug but not tight.
Bust: Measure around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the tape level across your back.
Waist: Measure around the narrowest part of your natural waist, usually just above the navel.
Hips: Measure around the fullest part of your hips, approximately 20 cm below your waist.

Fit Tips by Dress Style
Bodycon and Corset Dresses
These styles are designed for a close, sculpted fit. If you are between sizes, consider going up one size for comfort, especially if you plan to sit for extended periods at events. Our corset styles feature structured boning that moulds to your shape.
A-Line and Flowy Dresses
A-line silhouettes offer a more relaxed fit from the waist down. These tend to be true to size. If you prefer extra room, size up — the flowing fabric will drape beautifully.
Maxi and Floor-Length Gowns
For maxi dresses and gowns, consider your heel height. If you typically wear flats, you may need a shorter length or minor alteration. Most of our maxis are designed for a 7-10 cm heel.
Midi Dresses
Our midi dresses fall between the knee and ankle. The exact length will vary depending on your height. Petite women may find midis sit closer to ankle length, which can create a stunning elongated silhouette.
Suits and Two-Piece Sets
Our suits and two-piece sets are designed with a tailored fit. We recommend ordering your usual size. Check individual product pages for specific fit notes, as some blazers may have a more relaxed or structured cut.
Between Sizes?
If your measurements fall between two sizes, we generally recommend sizing up for a more comfortable fit. This is especially true for:
- Structured or tailored styles (corset, blazer, bodycon)
- Events where you will be seated for long periods
- Dresses with non-stretch fabrics like satin or crepe
For stretch fabrics (jersey, mesh, some lace), your regular size should work perfectly.
